$50 Million Diamonds Heist
at Belgian Airport
BRUSSEL - 20.
February 2013 - Three minutes is all it took for 8 masked men to
snatch away $50 million worth of diamonds at Belgian airport.
After getting through the security fence of Brussels Airport,

As the precious cargo was being loaded on to the plane, the
thieves took away $50 millions worth of rough and polished diamonds. Although weapons were used in the heist, there
were no shots were fired and no one was injured.
The diamonds were coming from the nearby world renowned
Antwerp Diamond Centre, on their way to Zurich in Switzerland. Antwerp is the world's diamond
cutting capital, which handles some $200 millions worth of precious stones daily!
Since most of the diamonds were rough and unpolished, there’s
little chance that any of them will be recovered. Once rough diamonds are polished, it’d be pretty hard to identify
them as those belonging to the stolen lot.
